The Farrell Clan Organization

The Farrell Clan Committee are saddened at the announcement of the death of our stalwart and much loved and respected committee member - Mr Anthony Farrell. Anthony died on March 6th 2008 at the age of 88. He was a Longford man through and through having lived and worked all his life around Longford. He ran a very successful business with his late brother Jack for many years on Killashee Street. John, Anthony's son continues the business. To Anthony's wife & family we extend our sympathy on their loss - the Clan will miss him but we will remember him as a true gentleman and one of the Farrell Clan's great ambassadors. Rest in Peace

The Farrell Clan is a voluntary committee which was formed in 1992 to research into Farrell history and seek support for this work by recruiting Irish kinsmen who share a common name or ancestry. Most of its time and energy is devoted to this work and in turn promotes contact between Farrells worldwide. In this regard the committee is playing its part in the preservation of Irish values and culture. The Clan has had considerable success in relation to increasing its list of registered members and this has gained a lot of recognition for Farrell Rallies. We are part of a national movement called "Clans of Ireland®."
